Being back in Boston after a summer away in the Berkshires means catching up on newly opened restaurants and eateries in town. One of the first places on my list was Dig Inn in the Back Bay. I first heard rumblings about this place on social media (of course) and it seemed like the place to be and be seen. So, in the name of research I checked it out.
Dig Inn is a fast-casual eatery serving up healthy comfort food on Boylston Street in the heart of Copley. I've been three times and the vibe is totally up my alley. The menu is seasonally driven, there are plenty of veggies to choose from, and the fact that they have wild salmon as a protein option makes me really happy. It's basically the new Sweetgreen. (sorry, not sorry)
Warning* people are freaking out about this place. The line at lunch time is steadily out the door, so I like to show up around 11:oo am to beat the crowds. I've yet to make it on a weekend but I suspect it's even worse. Also, when the restaurant is full it reminds me of being in a high school cafeteria. It's literally buzzing in there. 🐝 According to Eater Boston and the Boston Globe, we'll be getting several more locations in the next year!
Pictured above: my market bowl
base: farm greens w/ chervil + mint
market sides: winter squash with lentils, kale apple + kohlrabi
protein: wild alaskan salmon
Check it out and let me know what you think! Also, get the matcha latte with the rosemary syrup. It's super good! I chugged mine otherwise I would have shown you a picture. 😘
